)
As I wrote in my previous post, my laptop harddisk crashed and I must reinstall it. So what am I installing?. Here is the list (green is open source, red is proprietary/commercial, blue is freeware): - Windows XP: yes, I use Windows at work because it's easier (especialy with a laptop) to work in a Windows domain. Second partition: don't know yet. Maybe Kunbuntu. Or OpenSuse.
- Communication:
- Firefox (ext: scrapbook, switchproxy, forecastfox, justblogit)
- Thunderbird 1.0.6
- JAP
- LeechFTP
- Nokia PCSuite
- PGP
- Skype
- WinSCP
- putty, psftp, pscp
- Office:
- Development:
- Eclipse 3.1 (visual editor, SVN, ...)
- NVU
- Tools:
- 7Zip
- Acrobat reader
- Audacity
- JDictionnary
- cygwin
- irfanview
- Other:
- Google Earth
- Intervideo WinDVD
- TaskSwitch XP
- filemon
- iTunes (podcast), RealPlayer, Flash, Windows MEdiaPlayer10
He, not bad, most of my daily applications are open source and free software.
