31.8.05 23:05 Laptop installation ( , , , )

As I wrote in my previous post, my laptop harddisk crashed and I must reinstall it. So what am I installing?. Here is the list (green is open source, red is proprietary/commercial, blue is freeware):
  • Windows XP: yes, I use Windows at work because it's easier (especialy with a laptop) to work in a Windows domain. Second partition: don't know yet. Maybe Kunbuntu. Or OpenSuse.
  • Communication:
    • Outlook
    • Cisco VPN
    • Firefox (ext: scrapbook, switchproxy, forecastfox, justblogit)
    • Thunderbird 1.0.6
    • JAP
    • LeechFTP
    • Nokia PCSuite
    • PGP
    • Skype
    • WinSCP
    • putty, psftp, pscp
  • Office:
    • OpenOffice 2.0
  • Development:
    • Java: JDK 5.0, JDK 6.0
    • Eclipse 3.1 (visual editor, SVN, ...)
    • NVU
  • Tools:
    • 7Zip
    • Acrobat reader
    • Audacity
    • JDictionnary
    • cygwin
    • irfanview
  • Other:
    • Google Earth
    • Intervideo WinDVD
    • TaskSwitch XP
    • filemon
    • iTunes (podcast), RealPlayer, Flash, Windows MEdiaPlayer10
He, not bad, most of my daily applications are open source and free software.
