Java: today I've discovered JADE. They have some nice classes (FastMap, FastFormat, FastString) to make your code faster (mainly using object pools to avoid object creation and garbage collection). But not only your application will be faster, the execution time is also more stable (because less gc). Other nice libraries are functions (symbolic calculations), physics (quantity classes) and realtime framework.
